Fentanyl Test Strip
The Fentanyl Test Strip is a product that is able to detect Fentanyl from a urine sample. This thin testing strip is coated with a sensitive membrane that is able to detect the presence of Fentanyl at a certain cutoff level. The test is done by dipping the testing strip into a urine sample and waiting roughly 5 minutes before the results appear on the strip in the form of testing lines.
Fentanyl is a synthetic opioid type of drug. It is used for severe pain alleviation and is roughly 50 – 100 times stronger than morphine. Because of its strong potency, Fentanyl is often used as an ingredient in illegal street drugs. Its effects are similar to those of Heroin. The effects of Fentanyl include (but aren’t limited to): powerful hallucinations, extreme happiness, drowsiness, confusion, nausea and others. Fentanyl can be mixed with Heroin to make the drug more potent. These combinations can often lead to drug overdose.
Needless to say, prolonged use of Fentanyl can lead to severe addiction. Recovering from a Fentanyl addiction can be a long and difficult road and the withdrawal effects of Fentanyl are just as difficult.
The Fentanyl test strip is a great solution if you are an employer and are suspecting that your patients may be under the effects of Fentanyl. It can also be a great way to test patients who have been prescribed to take Fentanyl in order to alleviate pain.
Fentanyl Strips Usage
The Fentanyl Test Strip is able to detect Fentanyl at a cut-off level of 20 ng/ml. The testing strip is equipped with a sensitive membrane that, when dipped into a urine sample, searches for traces of Fentanyl. Once the strip has been dipped it will look for Fentanyl traces. If there is more than 20 ng/ml found in the urine sample, the test strip will only display a single testing line which means that the test result was positive (that Fentanyl was found). If less than 20 ng/ml (or no Fentanyl) was found in the urine sample, two testing lines will appear indicating a negative result (that no / not enough Fentanyl was found).
Because of their convenient size the Fentanyl test strips can be used at almost any location. All users have to do is provide a urine sample into a clean testing cup (not included with the Fentanyl Test Strip). A timer is also recommended, but not necessary. Users may need to be supervised during testing. Fentanyl test strips have a 99,9% accuracy rate
The Fentanyl Test Strip will display results 5 minutes after being dipped into a urine sample. Testing should be done within room temperature (15°C to 30°C). Any results shown after 10 minutes should be disregarded.
This product is intended for forensic use only and should only be used for the detection of Fentanyl.
