Drug test strips are the foundation of any reliable drug test method. Whether you are using a urine drug test or a saliva drug test you can be sure that each of these contains one or more drug test strips. While the convenience of testing for multiple drug traces from a single source is great, sometimes all you need is a single strip to test for one single type of substance. This is why single drug test strips exist. Whether you are testing for Alcohol (Etg), pregnancy (Hcg) or testing for traces of Fentanyl (Fyl), the drug test strips will do just that.

Other than urine testing, drug testing stips can also be used to prevent drug overdose by dissolving a bit of substance in water and dipping the strip into it.

The obvious drawback of Drug Test Strips over other drug testing methods is that each strip is only able to conduct a single test for a single type of drug/alcohol.

At the same time, while their use is limited, drug testing strips are extremely reliable and the most affordable method of drug testing, especially if testing is done for a specific type of drug.

What is a Drug Testing Strip?

A drug testing stripe is a thin stick used for testing for a specific type of drug. The testing strip is an immunoassay used to screen for the presence of drugs or alcohol such as Fentanyl, Alcohol, etc.

For each type of drug that can be detected through a urine or saliva test, there exists its own testing stip. While you may not be able to buy each of the testing strips individually, most urine and saliva tests available come equipped with several drug test strips so more than one drug test can be conducted with a single sample.

Some individuals, however, may wish to perform tests on only a single specific drug and they may, therefore, opt in for single test strips. This is the case with Fentanyl Test Strips or pregnancy Test Strips, for example.

We are currently offering Fyl (Fentanyl) and Etg (Alcohol) test strips at our site.

Different Types of Drug Test Strips

There are two types of drug testing strip: the urine testing stip and the regular testing strips:

  • The urine drug testing stips can detect whether or not someone has consumed any drugs recently. In order to conduct a drug test, the testee will need to urinate into a clean cup. The drug testing strip is then unsealed and dipped into the testing cup in order to collect the urine sample. The urine is absorbed by capillary action, mixed with the monoclonal conjugate and then mixed with the pre-coated membrane.
  • The regular testing strip is used to prevent drug overdose or simply to check whether or not something contains drugs. A substance is dissolved in water and the strip is placed into it. After a while the strip will produce a result whether or not there was a specific type of drug present in the substance.

After a while, the testing strip will react and produce visible test lines which will inform the examiner of either positive, negative or invalid results.

Urine Drug Test Strips

Most drug test strips are conducted when dipped inside the patient’s urine sample. After consuming most illegal drugs traces of it will still linger in one’s system and those traces can easily be detected through urine and/or saliva.

When the urine sample comes in contact with the testing strip it will cause a reaction which will in turn display lines in the testing area. The lines that appear on the testing strip will depend on whether or not the results are positive, negative or invalid.

Fentanyl Urine Test

The Fentanyl Urine Test is easily one of our most popular urine test strips. Because of its high potency and very dangerous side effects, Fentanyl Urine Tests are more important than ever. While Fentanyl can be used as a recreational drug, when large quantities of Fentanyl are consumed it may even cause permanent harm in one’s health. Unfortunately, Fentanyl is also extremely easy to make and is often mixed in with other drugs in order to create a specific type of high that might be lethal to the individual.

Our Fentanyl Urine Test Strip can detect traces of Fentanyl found in one’s urine sample. Conducting the test is as simple as dipping the test stripe into the cup containing the sample. The Fentanyl Urine Test Strip should stay soaked in the urine sample for at least 10 seconds. The urine test strip should not descend above the testing line. Results should be available 5 minutes after testing has been concluded.

Saliva Drug Test Strips

Just like Urine Drug Test Strips, Saliva Testing stips perform the same basic duty of detecting drug traces, only through a saliva sample. While conducting this test and waiting for results does take longer, the saliva drug test has proven to be a non-invasive way of conducting massive drug tests.

It’s also worth noting that saliva test strips are easy to supervise and that multiple people can perform it at the same time which is great for persons who are worried about getting fake (someone else’s) urine samples.

EtG Test Strips (Alcohol Test Strips)

Our Etg test stips are accurate, reliable, inexpensive and, overall, fantastic solutions for detecting alcohol traces in someone’s urine. Many job positions and overall duties require that the persons who perform them are not intoxicated. One of the easiest ways to test whether or not someone may have an uncontrollable urge for alcoholic beverages is through Alcohol Test Strips.

In order to perform this test, an individual simply needs to urinate into a clean testing cup (not included with the testing strip). Afterwards the Etg test strip is removed from its container and is dipped into the sample cup where it should remain for about 10 seconds. It’s important to not dip the testing strip lower than the marked line.

After the testing, the testing strip is laid down on a flat surface where it should stay for about 5 minutes. After the 5 minute mark, the results will appear in the form of red/pink testing lines.

Multi Drug Test Strips

Just like the name suggests, the multi drug test strips are able to detect many different types of drugs from a single drug test. This makes the testing strip function a lot like a Urine or Saliva drug test.

Fentanyl Testing Strips

Fentanyl is a potent synthetic narcotic. Historically it has been used to alleviate breakthrough pain, however, it is also a common component when it comes to illegal drugs. Unfortunately, because of its high potency, it isn’t uncommon to find a large amount of Fentanyl present in some drugs. If not mixed/cut properly a large exposure to Fentanyl could even cause death.

The Fentanyl Testing Strips are a great solution for people who are worried about consuming Fentanyl.

Unlike Urine testing Strips, which can only be used with a urine sample, these strips can also be dipped in water. Simply place a small drug sample (which you suspect to have traces of Fentanyl) and let it dissolve. Afterwards, place the Fentanyl Testing Strip and wait for the results.

In today’s day and age, especially with youth who are experimenting with illegal drugs, it isn’t uncommon to find a tempting concoction that may just have a high amount of Fentanyl in it. Processing such a mixture through a Fentanyl Testing strip could mean the difference between life or death.

How do drug test strips work?

Drug test strips work by having the testing strip come in contact with the urine sample. This causes the urine to be absorbed into the test strip by capillary action. The drug traces mix with the monoclonal antibody conjugate and flows through the pre-coated membrane. If the traces of drugs are below the detection level of the testing strip it will result in a negative result. If, however, the drug traces are above the detection level, they will cause the test to produce a positive result.

The result will be displayed 5 minutes after testing has been conducted through testing lines.

Drug Test Strip Colors

The results of the drug test strip colors will be displayed in different shades of red and pink. If high amounts of a substance are detected, you can expect to see a bright red line. However, even small amounts of drugs can also be displayed by a light pink (barely noticeable) line. No matter what shade of red the testing lines may appear, the test will still be considered as positive.

How Do You Use A Drug Test Strip?

In order to use the Drug Test Strip follow these steps:

  1. Have the testee urinate into a clean testing cup
  2. Remove the test strip from the sealed pouch (should be kept at 15°C – 30°C before using)
  3. Dip the urine testing strip into the testing cup up to the point indicated by the arrows. Leave it like that for about 10 seconds.
  4. After 10 seconds, remove the tip from the testing cup and lay it down on a flat surface for 5 minutes.
  5. After 5 minutes, read the results. Results should be disregarded 10 minutes after the test as they will become invalid at that point.

Temperature Strips for Urine Drug Testing

In case you need to keep track of the Urine samples before drug testing, the temperature Strips may be a good solution for you. Temperature strips, when stuck to the urine testing cup will keep track of the temperature of the sample.

Because very high and low temperatures can compromise the validity of a urine sample, it may be worth investing into temperature strips. This way you will know that each urine sample is within the optimal level before being used for drug testing.

How To Read Temperature Strip On Drug Test

Temperature strips are very self explanatory. They will display numbers from 32 – 38 (Celsius) and 90 to 100 (Farenheit) in order to display the current temperature. In between either of those lines, there will be a very visible dot which will indicate the current temperature. If no dot is visible while the urine sample is present within the cup, that means that the temperature of the sample is either too high or two low and that a new sample needs to be provided.
