The 13 panel drug test is a great drug test and is a great solution for those who need a little bit more than the 10 panel drug test. The 13 panel drug test can detect 13 different types of drugs by coming in contact with the donor’s urine. While this test covers the same substance panels as the 10 panel drug test it also tests for 3 additional drugs.

13 Panel Drug Tests

The most interesting of the new additions is the Fentanyl panel. Fentanyl is very similar to morphine, however, it is 50-100 times more potent. We are currently offering 3 variations of the 13 Panel Drug Test and all of them can detect Fentanyl traces.

What is a 13 panel drug test

The 13 panel drug test consists of a cup which contains 13 panels on the inside. When the patient’s urine sample comes in contact with the 13 panels, it will cause a reaction which in turn will make each of the 13 panels react and display brightly colored control lines.

13 panel urine drug test

Many illegal drugs will leave some sort of a trace in someone’s system. The easiest way to detect said traces is through urine samples for approximately 7 days. The 13 panel drug test will be able to detect those traces by coming in contact with the urine sample. All three of our 13 panel drug test variations will be able to detect drug traces.

13 panel alcohol drug test

Unfortunately, none of the 13 panel drug tests that we offer will not work as alcohol tests as they can only detect drug traces.

Yes, Fentanyl does show up on a 13 panel drug test. We are very proud to say that Fentanyl will show up on all three variations of our 13 panel drug tests.

How to use 13 panel drug tests?

Step by step guide to using the 13 Panel Drug Test Cup:

  1. The patient will remove the cup from the sealed pouch and proceed to use it as soon as possible
  2. The patient will urinate into the cup after which the cup should be screwed tightly. Once the cup has been screwed, the timer for the test will start
  3. The patient will hand over the cup to the medical expert where the date and the initials will be confirmed, as well as, cap tightness
  4. The peel-off label will be removed
  5. In 2-4 minutes after the peel has been removed the temperature label should change color to green, indicating a proper temperature 90 – 100°F (32 – 38°C)
  6. Results of the drug test will appear in the results area 5 minutes after the test has been performed. The results will be displayed in the shape of color bands in the results area section
  7. In case of positive test results, another method may be sent to a toxicology laboratory to re-confirm the positive test

Step by step guide to using the 13 Panel Dip Cards:

  1. The patient needs to urinate into a test cup
  2. The patient removes the dip card from the sealed pouch
  3. The dip card cap need to be gently removed
  4. The exposed test strips need to be absorbed into the urine sample. Only the exposed tips need to be dunked into the sample. The plastic device MUST NOT BE IMMERSED INTO THE SAMPLE.
  5. The cap is placed back on to the testing device and the device should be placed on a flat surface. Wait 5 minutes.
  6. After 5 minutes, read the results. After 10 minutes, the results will no longer be valid.

13 panel drug test results explained

The 13 panel drug tests will give initial results using control lines laid out on the 18 panels adjacent to the cup. Just like most urine drug tests out there, the panels can potentially display two types of control lines: the “C” line and the “T” line. Depending on the number of lines that appear we can determine the results which go as follows:

  • Positive – only the above “C” line appears
  • Negative – both the “C” and the “T” line appear
  • Invalid – only the “T” line appears or no line appears

In case of an invalid result, the patient may be required to retake the test.

Both positive and negative results of the 13 Panel Drug Test Cup should be viewable within 5 minutes, however, either result will be taken to a medical institution for further testing and re-confirmation. Positive results will take longer than that as they are tested several times to make sure it isn’t a false positive.
